Oompa Loompa Loopity Doo... State Fair Food is good for you!!

Not in this order...
Corn Dog
Chocolate Malt from the Dairy Barn, the only place to get one.
French Fries
Fried Clams
Sweet Potato Fries
Lemonade( Freshly squeezed by the women in the Austin Power's Go-Go Girl outfits) Coke Cheese on a Stick
Part of a Shish-Ka-Bob
Mini Donuts the Tom Thumb variety (the others suck) - Late night snack
Taco Bell
Low Cal dressing salad (you don't really believe me do you?)

I petered out after we had the malts...next year I will get the malt at the end of my day to save more room. I may go back to the Fair and if I do I will try the deep fried Twinkie, the deep fried Corn on a stick and the deep fried jelly custard donut.

I found it!! I found out what my special purpose is for!

Now that I have you attention. I found the movies I was talking about in my last post. The were put out by Bell Science. These movies starred big named actors of the time like Eddie Albert (Green Acres) Lionel Barrymore and directed by Frank Capra (It's a Wonderful Life)
The real name of the movie I was talking about in my last post is called Hemo the Magnificent.
It's about how our blood works and some other science facts. When I was a kid I thought they were really cool. Maybe your kids will too. The best movies out to the 50's educational movie series were the ones about personal hygiene. They always had two main kids. The narrator would start the movie off, "This is Billy, he always washes his hands after using the bathroom and before he shakes hands with a friend"
Can you guess what the other kid's name was? That's right it was Doofus. Doofus never washed his hands, never flushed when he was done and didn't comb his hair. When Doofus grew up he became a developer. Now before you get bent out of shape, it's just a joke, Some of my best friends are developers, the non smelly wash your hands type. :)

Well, the best thing that ever happened to food (besides cake) started this afternoon.
The Minnesota State Fair. There will be a posting about this. I eat my way through the Fair. It's my last blast of bad food before the fall hits. I am going to need a pile of Rolaids before this is all over. One question for you.... Is it Pronto Pup or Corn Dog? This question is as serious as Democrat or Republican. Choose a side.

I am taking a beating…..

Please don’t abandon me, I have not led you astray. The posts will return soon. That last post by Puff Daddy about bringing his son to the State Fair was the final straw, I am throwing a post in here from and undisclosed location. If you look at the time posted it will become clear as to where I am. J

I think we need more movies during the day like when we were in school. I really looked forward to science classes. I remember a series of movies that had a scientist (older guy, glasses) and a guy who asked him questions and they blended it with cartoons. It was made in the 50’s. I remember two of them , one was about blood, I think it was called The Great Hemos or something like that and the other was about the solar system. They were pretty funny and I can still hear the hum of the Bell & Howe projector.

Thanks to all the faithfuls that have harassed me to post or said they enjoy my ramblings. I didn’t realize that I was letting so many down by having a lax posting attitude. How can 50 million people be wrong? Well, rest assured faithful friends. I have not forgotten how to do this. I will return, triumphant with postings and you will rejoice the size of my ego.

Doing this in-between other activities is fun. Weeeee!

Teaser time…the next postings will talk about my trips, a lantern festival and remembrance, a question, and an observation or two.

I have not abandoned my postings

I know it's been 3 weeks, but I have been gone (2 vacations) for a lot of it. I will have a sizable post tomorrow. Tonight I must sleep. I am cream crackered right now!!
