Fo Shizzle that sh*t was off the heezzy!!

I saw a movie with the folks (peace out to pops for picking this one) today. It's called District B13. It takes place in France in the year 2010. There is a city so bad that the French government has walled it off and abandoned it. In itself it sounds like a boring future movie with cheesy effects and bad dialogue. Au Contraire Mon Frere!!
This movie was really good. The story was good and the acting was cool, oh and don't let me forget it was subtitled sorry for those of you who don't like to read .
Luc Besson (Leon, The Proffesional) produced it, don't worry there wasn't a long operactic scene the middle (see The Fifth Element...another excellent Luc film.)
What set this film apart from many others with that sort of plot was the stunt work and action. The actors were using Parkour Free Running. A style that uses the surrounding as your personal playground.
These guys run off roofs, jump through open windows and climb things like you and I walk our lazy butts around normally. They have been featured in commercials and some Alt videos on MTV. One of the main creators of Parkour is one of the main characters in the movie. The movie has some stupid henchmen or as a friend of mine calls them "the soccer team", a bunch of guys running around only to be hit and duped, still all in all a good fun movie. A delight to discover on a day when I didn't really want to see a movie. I recommend this one and give it four Rickys out of Five. Check out the websites very interesting.
